4th Sunday of Advent

ParishSOFT offers a safe and secure way to give online. Please use the link above to learn more.
Along with the regular Offertory, you may also choose “Restricted Donations,” which ensures that your entire gift stays here at St. Martin of Tours.
CHURCH ENVELOPES - Email Request
If you prefer using envelopes for your giving, you can request a set by emailing the Rectory. To keep your gift entirely at St. Martin of Tours, please mark your envelope clearly with “Restricted to SMT.”
Faithful Catholics are called to give to the Lord with grateful and generous hearts. Our offering is meant to be a true act of sacrifice—an intentional gift, not simply what is convenient or easy.
As a practical guideline, we invite each household to give in a way that is intentional, proportionate to your blessings, and truly reflects a spirit of gratitude to God.
Planned, consistent giving—whatever the amount—strengthens our parish’s mission and allows us to serve our community with confidence and joy.
For larger or long-term contributions—such as gifts for maintenance, repairs, capital improvements, or special parish projects—IRA Charitable Rollovers (Qualified Charitable Distributions) and Gifts of Stock can provide significant tax advantages. Information and the necessary forms are available in the links below.
If you would like any of your gifts—online, by check, envelope, stock, or IRA—to remain fully at St. Martin of Tours, please indicate this by clearly marking your gift “Restricted to SMT.” The pink envelopes available in the church make this designation easy, and ParishSOFT also provides an option to mark your gifts as restricted.
Thank you for your faithful support of our parish. Your generosity sustains our mission and helps us serve our community with joy and hope.
May God’s blessings be with you!
Fr. Paul
BENEFITS OF AN IRA CHARITABLE ROLLOVER (Qualified Charitable Distribution)
If you are 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift directly from your IRA to St. Martin of Tours through what the IRS calls a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
For 2025, you may transfer up to $108,000 per year directly from your IRA to a qualified charity without paying income tax on the distribution. Because the gift is made directly from your IRA custodian to the charity:
It does not count as taxable income, which may lower your overall tax burden.
You do not need to itemize deductions to receive the benefit.
Your gift can satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).
QCDs are not subject to the usual limits on charitable deductions.
Important: A QCD must be completed before you take your RMD
To receive the tax benefit, your QCD must be processed before any RMD withdrawals for the year.Planning ahead makes a significant difference.
This remains one of the most tax-efficient ways to support our parish, especially for those who no longer itemize or who wish to reduce taxable retirement income.
To begin the process, please use the form provided below or contact your IRA plan administrator.
